I have a CZ 75 made in '88 that is a complete transitional one. It has all completely all of the characteristics of the transitional pistol and has all matching serial numbers.
Serial number begins with an S and is 4 digits. My reading and Google Fu tells me these were made between '92 to '94.
Does anyone here also have one like this or know more about this older than normal Transition one?
Thanks.

'88? Mine says something92, B5###, from Marstar's large Police lot. At the time foofle told me they were made until '91. There is more to read before the date stamp but the coating/paint there is a mess and I can't figure it out.
Jerry Paregien had a book on the B changes on Amazon which might cover the transition.

Thanks
It's just a bit of a puzzle for me. it's exactly same as the '92 to '94 ones. I'll try to find that book. I just don't know enough about these variants so hoped I'd get enlightened here.

BTW, I just realized my gun is an 85, not 75, with round hammer. For some reason I suspected the spur hammer ones were not transitional, but looking now at Marstar's pictures of the spur one was B63XX.

Did you find that post, by a big name of the CZ community?

I'll look at that link. I thought if I asked here, I'd find mine wasn't a one-off and others had similar "early transitional" model 75s.......and thanks.
