Hey guys,

Any of you CZ shooters know where I can source a spare extractor and extractor spring for a CZ 75? I have been having stovepipes and failure to eject. With the failure to eject the spent casing is still in the chamber, and the slide goes to feed another round which subsequently gets jammed against the back of the spent casing. I am thinking I need a new extractor and/or spring.

Thanks for any help,

Josh

Select Shooting Supplies has lots of CZ parts available.
regular extractor springs and extra power extractor springs are in stock.
extractors are out of stock though.

I was having frequent stove pipes with my 75 and it turned out to be simply a carbon buildup.

Hopefully that is all it is, I have cleaned the extractor etc. We will see what happens.

Thanks for the helpful comments, it is a rarity on here to get any useful comments!

You may be ok. Although i didnt have any extraction problems.
I had a mix of carbon and a touch of lube and dirt that all combined to gum up the slide so it resisted cycling enough. It seems logical that i may have had some in the extractor groove and even down into the spring seat. Also , i completely disassembled the gun and cleaned out the old grease and wiped everything down, then sparingly re-applied some gun grease in a few areas.
I then ran 500 rounds through it with only minimal lubing (almost none) on the slide rails and none as a surface protectant (mine is stainless). 2 things happened, the slide smoothed out tremendously, and the gun worked better, much better, with no failures on factory FMJ.
For me it was a lesson (not my first) in over -lubrication/ over-protection. I'm not saying that yours is the same, but i dialed back my oiling.
