I'm curious to know which match barrels are people using in their CZ75.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking of trying to use a modifed CZ75 for NRA Bulls-eye shooting. Sadly, no one seems to use one. So I can't draw on their experience, which is why I'm turning to the CZ owners on here

I'm confident the pistol can be made accurate enough.

If anyone has or is willing to test their gun at 50 yards or 50 meters could you report results? The goal is less than 2" at 50 yards.

I know the trigger and sights can be made to target grade quality.

thank you in advance for your help,

If anyone has tested their CZ75 with match at 25m I'd take than info as well.

I think it is ammo quality (match grade), shooter skill (god like) and then finally "gun quality" for that kind of accuracy. Is this off hand shooting as well?

It'd be impressive to see anyone shoot 2" groups at 50m with any handgun.
A ransom rest "might" be able to do it :)

I've shot 3" at 25m and was really happy with that (sitting and sand bagged, commercial ammo).

Likely any handgun with a handfitted oversized barrel will shoot better- even a CZ. I am actually going to do some accuracy testing this weekend with 3 of my CZ's and see what I can do at 25m. Tanfoglios use Walthar barrels (check my spelling) and they are super accurate. If you could get your hands on a Bar-sto, or any match quality barrel and have it properly fitted you likely will see a big improvement over stock. A Briley Spherical bushing or opening up the slide and adding a coned sleeve would also make a big difference. Contact Rodger at DARK International, he does good work on CZ's. Like G37 mentioned, good ammo and skill of the shooter is the big thing. A fairly tight fitting CZ with good sights should shoot well right out of the box. Good luck.

I'd like to see the pistol shoot 2" or less out of a rest or sand bag.

The following link is to Mountain competition arms webpage, they produce target M9s which shoot sub 2" 10 shot groups at 50 yards. Quote is from their webpage

"These barrels are tested at 50 yards only. A passing grade for a barrel is a one inch or less than one inch 10 shot group at 50 yards"

In my mind the CZ platform is good starting pointing for a 9mm bullseye pistol. However its not popular with many americans because its not american and not used by the arms forces.

You may have better luck on the CZForums. There is an excellent cz gunsmith Angus hobnell I think. They have a subforum ask Angnus. I would suspect that if anyone knows what the potential of a CZ he would.

My stock shadow groups around 3 inches at 25 yards with cast bullets.

The CZ forum, is a great place to visit and I'm part of thread on accurazing the CZ97 (I'm poster 2000569).

Very few shooters try their pistols out to 50 yards, however I understand some IPSC match do involve shooting at distances out to 50 yards/meters. I'm hoping to tap into some of that expertise.
