CZ 75b holsters options

BladeTech makes outside waist holsters too that are good for IDPA; one of the best you can buy. You can order it directly from BT if you cannot find one in Canada.

What kind of PPC - if you're shooting Distinguished Semi any holster that's reasonable is acceptable (covers the trigger guard) but if you want to shoot Duty Pistol (for which the CZ is allowed) you'll need a Level 2 holster, which is a handicap for IPSC. I believe the Serpa CQB is acceptable as a Level 2, but it may be a tad slow for IPSC.

That Fobus (apart from being a Fobus) is a Level 1 Retention holster

If you want to go with the whole IPSC thing you'll need a competition belt and magazine holders and ... well, the whole nine yards. If you just want a generic gun holder for carrying around the range, provided they allow that, then a lot of soft leather or cordura 1911 style holsters will work. IDPA, due to their "concealed" requirements will vary again.

If it helps at all I got the Bladetech DOH with the fancy quick clip buckle a year or so ago. It's been fantastic for my newbie IPSC rig. It would be useable with a leather belt for general non competition carry around use but that setup would lack the rigidity needed for a fast draw in competition. That's where the super stiff comp belts come in. But for the money and if you think you'll get into IPSC at some time next year I'd opt for spending the money on the Bladetech so you've got something you can use with a new competition belt.

I don't remember the outfit but there's an outlet in Alberta that carries Bladetech.

whats the difference between the two bladetech DOH holsters... Tek-lok and the SR loop??

I was wondering about a holster for a cz 75b. i looked at some of the offering from site sponsors but couldnt find any, would holster for a 1911 frame pistol work? I want a holster that would qualify for PPC or IPSC.

thanks

edit: would this qualify for ppc and ipsc ? http://www.fobusholster.com/products/CZ_75_9MM_BELT_HOLSTER-37-91.html

No the 1911 holster won't work for the 75B.

I would recomend the Bladetech. You can get the DOH attachement and the regular belt style for the same holster. That way you could you the holster in PPC, IPSC and IDPA. IDPA doesn't allow the DOH design.

The CR speed holster works great for IPSC and does allow for a slightly faster draw for some folks. They are expensive though and having bought one for IPSC I am not sure they are all that much faster than a DOH kydex holster in most hands....certainly not mine. They do look cool though if that is important.

The 75B should work fine in PPC.

thanks! is it just me or is there not a blackhawk SERPA offering for the cz-75b

so the tek-lok thing just locks onto a belt more securely then ?

I have one Blade Tech with tec loc and I have to say I prefer the standard belt arrangement. Both are secure, but for me the standard loops work better. Yes I believe so on the Serpa. I don't care for them as the finger release is just one more thingto think about. One of our guys at our club uses one and does quite well with his, just not for me.

Blade Tech makes a quality product and have no hesitation in recomending them to you. Com Tec is another company who makes holsters for the 75B.

thanks for helping a total noob :D yeah my biggest concern was the finger release on those i KNEW in a competition i would forget that and end up tugging at a locked in pistol. I ll go with the blade tech then.

You are welcome. While we are on a roll may I suggest that a good holster becomes a pain with the wrong belt. I would recomend you get a Wilderness Belt, 1 3/4" wide and order your holster with that width in mind. Google Wilderness Belt and you will get lots of hits. Belt is stiff, which is what you want and works for every day wear as well. You wion't be sorry getting one.

I like the Blade Tech holsters and the one you have looked at will accept the Dropped and Offset (DOH) attachment which is great for IPSC use.

thanks... probably better then my 3 year old old navy belt haha

I got the Techloc version because it was on sale. It fits the CRSpeed belt like a fine fitted glove. But the only real advantage to it is the ability to unclick it and remove the holster without having to slide it off. It came in handy during the setting up of the holster and belt but once set for the final time I have not used the Techloc feature. So money wisely spent? Likely not. But on the other hand it made it easy to put on and take off for the setup period. If I'd gotten the regular version I'm sure I'd be fine with it. But at the time Bladetech had the Techloc version on sale for cheaper than the regular version as a Christmas special last year.
