CZ 75B or Jericho 941 in 9mm - take your pick

Both being good guns, if you are to choose and option to use in IPSC production division, what would be a better choice?

If you like the slightly lighter gun and don't care for the full length dustcover a CZ 85 Combat would be my choice over the 75B. Ambi controls and no firing pin block.

I've fired both, and my girlfriend has a Jericho in 9mm. One thing to consider, after market parts. the Czs have plenty... Jerichos, not so much.

CZ75 all the way!

-The jericho trigger bites my finger
-The Jericho slide safety is a PITA when rack the slide
-less mods out there for the jericho
-NO 22lr kit for the jericho
-the Jerichos finish is easy to scratch

Mine too..

75B stainless was my pick.

I love my stainless 75B

"Firing pin block", what exactly is this? What are the pros and cons of having this firing pin block? Is this something like the 1911 trigger safety between a series 70 and series 80?

CZ Shadow, CZ 75 and CZ 85C has no FPB. Allows for a nicer trigger pull & shorter trigger reset. The CZ 75B has the FPB (firing pin block). The FPB is a extra safety like the 80 series 1911's. The FPB is not necessary unless used as a duty gun, IMHO.

I really like my Jericho. Better trigger than any cz I've tried including the shadow. Everyone should own a cz style gun, and even though the finish is crap on the Jericho it is just as reliable as any cz, and being 2-300$ cheaper than a cz I will put up with the slide safety.

I'm partial to the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow model. Great shooter. There's also the Tactical (decocker, night sights) and Phantom (polymer frame) to consider.

I've got both. They are both good.
I've gotta say the jericho is fantastic. It is an extremely good quality pistol and OMO the best kept secret in all steel 9mm pistols. Go hold one at a gun store and you will be hooked!

What about the Omega Trigger? I saw a 75B-9 with Omega trigger. Is this better than the original 75B?

Grip for both seems to fit smaller hands.

Who has the best deal for either pistol?

Jericho is around $ 600
75B seems to be in the $ 650s

I have to agree with the CZ lovers. I had my heart set on a Jericho for months now after handling a "Baby Eagle" a while back. I actually went to buy one at wholesale sports only to discover that the new Jericho's have a terrible "parkerized type" finish on them. I also found the decocker to be on a strange angle or something.

Looking at the cz SP-01 atm.

I've shot a couple of the Jerichos and it IS a nice gun.

But the ease of getting parts and accessories for the CZ is a HUGE plus. There's more holsters to choose from and magazines are easier to find.

If you look around I think you'll find that the Omega action isn't as nice as the old original style. And certainly there's more "trigger job" write ups for the oringinal action if you're a DIY type.

So all in all for all these reasons I'd say stay with CZ.

Magazines are the same :) Holsters, that's a different issue but you can get decent ones for the Jericho from Zahal
