CZ 75B or Jericho 941 in 9mm - take your pick

Have both the Shadow and the Jericho, love'em both. ;) But I use the Shadow in competition because of replacement parts and holster issues with Jericho.

My only suggestion would be to go with the Shadow, not CZ75B. IMHO the difference in trigger pull and FO front sights warrants spending another $150.

Jericho all the way, I regret trading mine off each and every day. The trigger absolutely superb and has no right being on a gun that costs only 600 bucks. The only thing I did not like about it was the slide based safety, but the trigger more than makes up for that.

I just picked up a CZ-85 Combat. I tried the Jericho and the Shadow and I liked the Combat the most. The trigger was smoother and a little lighter than the Jericho, and it came with adjustable night sights. It did cost $175 more than the Jericho but it feels like a better class of gun all around. Even the grips on the Combat beat out everything else. I am 6'2" and my wife is about 5'6" and the Combat accommodates both our hand sizes. We played with about a dozen different pistols at Williams Arms and we both agreed the CZ-85 Combat was the best pistol we tried.

Cheers,

You won't be disappointed. If you replace the hammer with a competition hammer from CZ Custom and install the Competition rear and FO front sight ordered from CZ Custom you will have one sweet pistol. The hammer replacement is cheaper than a trigger job and the hammer pull will be smooth as glass and with a 13# mainspring much lighter. Mine is smoother than my stock Shadow.

I personally have shot both guns. I have to admit I really like the Jericho and sometime in the future will buy one. CZ on the other had I have no use for. I don't like any cz handguns what so ever. Again this is MY personal preference. I just pick the cz's up and always find something i don't like about them and always find another gun i like allot more. I had a few guys trying to tell my to buy one over the beretta 92, i don't what they were thinking as I absolutely love everything about my 92.

Thank you for the inputs. I just got a good deal on a CZ 85 Combat. 100 rds 147 gr, no problem so far. Just have to get used to the slide which is a little narrow compared to a 1911 platform. So far, I get good groupings from 10m to 20m. The recoil from a 147 gr seems comparable to a minor load .40 cal. Just have to get spare mags, and a good Pacmayr wrap-around grips. I was also looking into the Jericho 941 in .40 and seems to be well built. But decide last minute getting the CZ 85 Combat. :)

The Jericho 941 is the best kept secret in 9mm.

Perhaps but the slide mounted safety is not near as convenient as a frame mounted one. Unless it weighs in at under 39oz isn't allowed in IDPA. The OP bought a CZ85 Combat and I guarantee you he won't be disappointed. More holsters available for the CZ and lots of aftermarket parts to play with. As an inexpensive range gun the Jericho works but then so do a lot of other makes.
