I just received a 75B SA .40 in the mail yesterday from Whylook and everything on the pistol seems great except I cannot figure out how to take the barrel out of the slide and I am looking for some help.

I assume the barrel will come out the same as my SP01 where the barrel just drops down and slides out. The problem with the .40 is that the barrel does not drop down enough to be able to slide out of the frame. It also cannot go out the front as the front of the slide is not open like a 1911. Is the barrel bushing something like on a CZ97B which screws out?

Any help is appreciated!

Anyways here are some pictures to help figure the problem out, the barrel in each pic is at the lowest point it will drop out of the frame currently.

I can't help you with this problem but I use this site for any issues with my 85. Check out ww w.czforumsite.info

It SHOULD just slide all the way back to the firing pin block and then wiggle down and out. Perhaps turn it slightly so the extractor doesn't get caught in the notch in the side of the barrel but rather springs out. If that doesn't work try switching your tongue to the other cheek while doing the same thing?

Your nose bushing might be a bit tight. Maybe put some powder solvent in there and work the barrel back and forth a little. It may have gotten packed with some residue and won't let the barrel pivot the last little bit needed to lift it out.
