CZ-75b Stainless club

Here's my CZ-85. It's my first 9mm and I totally love it. The guy that had it before me had the whole slide and barrel triple chromed. It's a very reliable pistol that gives a lot of bangs for the buck!

Can't go wrong with a CZ. It'll serve you well.

I found the relatively small vertical portion of the slide hard to grasp overhand (which is the way I have trained to operate my service pistols).

That's about the only flaw I have with the CZ as well. I was also trained to use the "clam shell" grip and not the slide release or sling shot method of pulling the slide back. I still found it better on the CZ though than the Baby Eagle.

I had a CZ75 about 12 years ago - great gun , never missed a beat. I sold it when the mag limits came into effect, as for me at the time I couldn't justify having my 15 round mags pinned.

I kept mine. Actually it is a Silver Team Tanfoglio. Originally in 9x21 but after breaking two barrels I switched out to 40 S&W. Made a great IPSC gun back in 90 -92. That mag used to hold 21 rds of 9. Pity the day we went to 10.

Well I received my pistol today.
:( The finish wasn't what I expected.
I was expecting a dulled stainless like my S&W. However this one is shiny. Too shiny. It's a nice pistol but just isn't my taste. I've emailed the company I bought it from. I'm going to see if I can exchange it for a sandblasted Stainless model. I didn't realize they made two different finishes.

Oh well. It's not bad just not my taste for that type of firearm.

My first 9mm was a CZ75 , liked it so much that I got a CZ75B to keep it company ,(want to compete in IPSC so I got a spare) the wife got her RPAL recently and was hinting that I should let her use one of them (gimme that!!) so I got her a CZ75B in satin nickel finish ...You could say they keep me happy , yeah .

Well,
I'm going to try and get this one exchanged for a sand blasted stainless model. If not then A shadow sp-01.

I've contacted the company that I bought the pistol from. I'll be sending it back for bead blasting. This should work out. :D
I'll probably be getting the Hogue grips for it and maybe a set of the rosewood just for show.

Sorry no pictures, one of these days I'll have to buy a camera.

There a guy at the club who has one, but it's a safe queen!

I like the pistol quite a bit myself. (I'm no expert though)

The basic new CZ 75 these days is a CZ 75B. The 75s (Pre-Bs) aren't made any more. The older ones some people like to keep around to look at, if it's an older CZ 75 "short rail", from before the 80s. (Don't know the specific year though)

Maybe its because the older version short rail was only available to Eastern European governments back then, I hear they aren't too commonly found.
