CZ 805 BREN to be made in Semi-Auto

The New CZ807, Upgraded CZ805A2, Semi-Auto CZ805S1

At a recent event in Liberec, Ceska Zbrojovka unveiled three new rifles. The upgraded CZ 805A2 BREN (photos below) has a number of external and internal changes including a new charging handle, selector switch and flash hider.

The BREN will now be available in a semi-automatic consumer legal version called the CZ805S1 (photo above). No word yet if it will be imported into the USA. We will be keeping an eye out for it at SHOT Show in January.

The company also announced the CZ 807 carbine they developed for the Indian military. This multicaliber version of the BREN can be converted to fire either 5.56 mm or 7.62x39mm.

Try double that at least. 1-2 years is what it takes only for the RCMP to review the gun.

It looks kind of XCR ish. Except made by a company that knows how to make functioning semi autos.

I don't understand why manufactures are making rifles with such large HOB issues... A cheek riser needed for a flat top upper? WTF??

That is kind of funny. I mean seriously guys...it's a folding stock that isn't integral to the function of the gun. Why did you put it low, then raise it up with a cheek piece? And why is the cheek piece so far back? Are we going for "ear weld" here or what?

Still...won't hold my breath but will be interested to give it a go when and if it makes it here.

Me too. They could get single shots off with the Bren back in the day they say, quite accurate too
