After lots of research and watching people at the TRI-GUN shoot, I bought a CZ 85 combat. I'm am soooo pleased. I love this 9mm. It hits what you point it at....even at 50 yards. If you miss with this gun, you need glasses real bad, LOL. Its deadly accurate. Nice trigger, stays on target...I like the weight, the recoil is nothing. I'm new to these guns. I had Norinco clones before, and I thought they were just fine.....till I shot this.!! Now I know what a "refined" gun feels like. By, by, Norinco clones. So if your a noob, and you just dont know what to buy..try a cz 85 combat...you WONT regret it. I never spent this much on a hand gun before..I'm glad I did...I CAN SHOOT NOW and not miss LOL.

I already miss her... :)

It was hard to shoot that thing poorly! Refined is EXACTLY what the 85 Combat is. Easily the best of the CZ line, IMO. Play around with some lighter recoil and mainsprings, and excellent will become amazing!

I've seen mags at various site sponsors in recent weeks. Not cheap, but they're out there.

I think this is the best of the CZ 9mm pistols, including the Shadow.

Put a 13 lb mainspring in it and your trigger pull will improve and you will like it even better. Put an 11 lb recoil spring in it and you can shoot light loads, easy to control.

You can also use the 9mm Tanfangolio mags in it , they are cheaper than CZ mags and just as good if not better.

Fear not...I'm taking very good care of her. Another 200 rounds went down the pipe today.

This is a handgun that hardly anyone talks about which is a surprise. I've had one for a few years now and I'll keep 'er until she's finished. Handles great and with the right load hits everything you point it at. I really recommend this gun to anyone who wants a better than most 9mm.

Other than the ambi controls, is it much different than a Pre-B 75?

...just bought a nice pre-B... :)
