having issues with a cz 858.
had 2 FTE in about 100 rounds. fired off a shot, next round that would have been chambered got pushed under the last round that didnt eject and it tried to slam shut on it but gets hung up (obviously) which also pushes the bullet of the next round into the brass. (making that bullet garbage)

any ideas whats going on here?
i just stripped her down scrubbed cleaned and tried to cycle a few dummy rounds and it wouldnt pull the rounds out still.

im wondering if it has the extractor and bolt for a 7.62 in it...any way to tell?
 
Fire a few hundred rounds through it and see if the issue goes away on its own. I'm betting it will, but if it doesn't, having the chamber polished may resolve the issue.
 
when i had it apart i lined up a .223 casing in the bolt and the extractor would just barely grab it. it just seems liek it may be the wrong bolt and extractor in it. i had about 1mm slack in there.

im going to pull it apart again and see how a 7.62 lines up.

btw - its not mine...its a friend (not that that changes things..this happened when i used it)


edit -
pulled the action apart, and the 7.62 is way too big for it, but the .223 still looks way too small.

i know a smith so maybe ill have him pick it up when he gets a chance. i think a bigger extractor would do the trick but ill mention the polishing since thats 2 in a row saying thats their issue.

its probably got about 500 through her.
i was using winchester ammo... maybe it just doesnt like it..ill see what my friend was using and pick some of that up and try it this weekend.
