CZ – 858-2 Accuracy issues!
P1010391.jpg

I received an e-mail from a customer who had heard rumors of an accuracy issue with the last batch of our rifles. By coincident Wolfgang had randomly picked a rifle today to test fire before sending it to a customer. We don’t make a habit of test firing customer guns but when we send a warranty replacement rifle out we now make sure everything is good. Now I will not guarantee that all our CZ 858 rifles shoot this good but I see no accuracy problem with these barrels.

Wolfgang shot this target from a sand bagged rest at 50 meters using surplus CZ ball ammo with issue iron sights.

Yup, thats about right John. A week after having mine, zero'd at 100m, shot a 300m Swiss match and scored, much to my supprise, 79/81! Issue sights unsupported with a sling. Anyone who shoots well to begin with should have no issues with these rifles.

This is the first rifle that I have shot for groups at 100m with iron sights. With Czech surplus five shot groups were never larger than 4 inches, and I suck. I love this gun.

Maybe the accuracy issues they're reporting is because of bad ammo or bad shooting skills. I bought an 858 from CanAM and love it, I find it keeps awesome groups with czech surplus ball. I unfortunately got one that had a super off center front sight housing. The front post was cranked all the way to the left when I got it and it still shot about 3/4 of an inch off centre at 25m sandbagged :( The rifle was also catching brass about 2% of the time so I think maybe I got a bad apple. I can't wait for Wolfgang to figure something out for me, thinking about that rifle keeps me up at night lol

Thanks for bringing those things in Mr. Wolverine and thank Wolfgang for me, he's been pretty cool to work with :)

yea A+ for wolfgang from me to I had feeding probloms with my cz he did a debur for me and all is well not one misfire and not caught casing. My Cz 858 just never liked the akm muzzle break thats whatwas putting it off target.

What's funny is when you get an AR fanboy that disses the 858 and you show them an iron group like that. Usually they just try to change the topic but I make sure to remind them I can take this thing hunting.

at the swiss club you shot a 79 and 81/100 with a cz. that is great
my best 300m swiss score with a pe90 (swiss arms bluestar) and ruag ammo is 93/100. (medal score for pe90 is 85)

who knows with practice you maybe able to earn a swiss medal with the cz :)
(do they allow it for their programs?? or just practice)as i thought you need to use swiss ammo for fullbore programs
if they allow it for programs do you need the same medal score as standard rifle which is 90 (instead of 85 which the k31 and pe90 need)
