never had a big problem with cleaning it. even out camping, give it a quick clean at the end of each day. and a thorough one when you get it home. no big deal. and obviously you'll have less issues if you use non-corrosive ammo too.

Are you using the WINDEX with ammonia? I believe that is the cleaner that works for Black Powder shooters. Or maybe use one of the U.S. surplus military bore cleaners the one to clean the M-1 and m-14 rifles, they used corrosive primers for some of the 30.06 and 7.62 nato.
