cz 858 bore rust

Okay i have come to conclusion in what works best to clean a cz858 and keep it rust free through trial and error.

1. Clean from the muzzle end first
2. Use Hoppes #9 (or any of the like) to clean the bore and patch a few times
3. Use Windex (preferably with ammonia-D because it dries faster) to patch the bore a few times
4. Repeat steps 1-3 until Windex patches start coming out clean to desire
5. Use G96 ( or any good lubrication oil) and generously apply to a soaked patch

The reasoning behind it is that cleaning from the back the bore is elevated under the back stock which causes my rods to bend and scratch the bore and chamber and a whole bunch of stuff, from the front it is just a lot easier and plainly better. I used to clean with Remington Oil and G96 Oil but it took so much longer, Hoppes #9 is much stronger solvent and removes all the garbage inside the bore very quickly and easily while using copper bristles. From what i heard from very experienced fellows with +$4,000 modded cz858's is that Water is the only thing that will neutralize those corrosive salts, Windex is nothing more than soap and water and the ammonia-D component listed on the bottle is just to help it dry quicker. After this stage you will see your bore super shiney and clean almost like chrome all the way through. Then you patch through your lubrication oils to help preserve and protect it. I inspect all my guns with a mini flashlight at the other end and look down the bores.
