I was just taking apart my CZ 858 for the first time since buying and when I had it apart I noticed something that I am not sure if I did to it when I took it apart, or if it is normal and nothing to worry about.

The dust cover has 2 pins attached to it, a upper thick pin and a lower thinner pin. The lower pin on my dust cover has a slight wobble. It still appears to be attached very well, but if you remove the spring, and measure the wobble at the end tip, it wobbles back and fourt about 1/8 ".

Is this normal in a CZ858 dust cover, to have a wobbly lower pin? If not, does it sound like a big deal ?

Even though the pin wobbles, it still appears to be attached very well to the dust cover and the action goes back and fourth perfect with no problems, once its full assembled.

If this is something to worry about, would I have to get an entire new dust cover ? Or, could I just give the base of the pin a tack weld to stop it from wobbling, if its possible? (not sure what type of material it is)

Pic?

not sure which pin you mean, if its the pop pin that holds the receiver cover on , they are loose when they're pushed out but once the cover is on and the pin is in it should be ok. The receiver cover still has play in it though.

Okay, I took it off again. I removed the spring from the pin that is wobbling. It is the lower pin that wobbles about 1/8 inch at the tip.
I think it is normal, but I just thought I would ask
