CZ 858 Failure

Has anyone else had their striker break on their CZ 858??

I was out shooting today and shattered around the end.....

would this be under CZ warranty as its only two months old and only about 500 rounds through it.....??

if not where would I get another striker???

Where did you buy it? If from a dealer, then it should be covered: just fire them an email and a picture and they will likely send you a new striker... If not, post back here and I'm sure someone will hook you up--there are a lot of parts for the CZ 858 floating around.:)
 
it should be cover by warranty . contact the dealer where you bought it from , he may refer you to the importer wolverine , see the banner above .

i have two cz858 and i have yet to experience any problem .

Interesting, I have never had this problem yet myself. I hope all goes well for you.
PS - I have a striker sitting on top of my desk right now for the 858. I'm looking at how pretty it is.
If they try and charge you a bundle for it, i'll send you mine. I get parts for anything I want mostly free of charge.
 
Thanks everyone for their quick reply...got it at Lever in Vancouver...so I will send them a msg or roll in on Tues to see them...

I just saw a flaw in my striker hammer today. There is a small 1/4" by 1/8" fleck of metal out of it. I only noticed it when I was cleaning it today after shooting 200 rounds through it yesterday. I am presuming it's "not" a warranty item as it sees a lot of wear when fired. I just would like to have 2-3 extra on hand. I may just buy the spare parts kit from Wolverine if it has a few in it. I have put over 2000 rounds through my CZ so I am not surprised. (or should I be?)

Good luck with that I sure hope they treat you better then how they treated me. Lever has HORRIBLE customer service when it comes to fixing ANYTHING they sell. They sold me a NIB SW MP45 with a dented mag (arrived that way)and after MANY MANY requests they told me TOO BAD SO SAD we don't care. They would not replace it or pay the cost of a new mag. THEY SUCK ####!!
 
What ever happened with this? Did you get a new striker (under warranty)?

I just had mine break in 2 about 3/8" from the end and it got the operating spring jammed in that it was trashed taking the rear cover off.

I bought mine from Epps back in Dec, sure hope it's a warranty thing.
