CZ 858 fake cans

I am looking to put a fake silencer on my 858 and want to hear from those that have also done so. My reasoning is to install it over the barrel towards the handguard so it will minimize the look of the barrel length. I love the look of Dmitri's and am looking for the similar outcome. I hear the most popular ones are just airsoft fake cans but before I head out to buy parts I would like to hear from teh few that have ventured down this road as well.


Also anyone know what the thread pattern is on the barrel??
 
i dont like putting anything on my rifle that is ''fake'' but if u must go for it , also you will have to remove your front sight assembly. you will be forced to run optics only , i hate not having good irons on my rifle to fall back on.. Remember function over form is a wise choice for a rifle you might use for survival , hunting or self defense some day.. But it seems like people on here seem to care more about how their gun looks than anything else .

Im not getting how someone would sacrifice a nice military grade front sight by installing a ''fake'' can to make their gun look more ''tacticool'' ?? If it was a real can i could see the point . When it really matters ''tacticool'' will not give you a advantage .. its a mistake to treat firearms ownership like a fashion show if you ever have to use them for survival, hunting or self defense some day. Its better to run it how the designer or military intended it . Tacticool gimmicks will let you down under heavy use. My main concern with guns is how they work not how they look . Also a fake can could really mess with the barrel harmonics and cause bad accuracy .
 
Dboys barrel shroud. Comes in 3 different lengths. This on is the middle length. Its threaded on both ends for 14x1.00 left and right hand. I had already removed my frt site to use flip ups off my rails so all I had to do was hog out the one threaded end to fit over the barrel and it screws right on.

I am doing a side mount POSP scope so the irons will not be useable anymore. I know some people may not like it buy what I do not get is why people go into a post they do not like and complain?? I will not hunt with this gun and the iron sights as I can not shoot consistently enough with them. I really dislike them and after hundreds of rounds down range they are not for me.

Now back on topic GREYMAN do you have any pics??



BCVIKING of course if the can messes with the reliability or function of the gun it will be tossed. I plan on putting hundreds of rounds down range with it to prove its effect on function or lack there of. I already have a case of ammo to use towards setting up the scope and checking function.



I do not recall people giving Dmitri such a hard time........Do what you want with your gun and I will do what I want with mine.

I've put hundreds through the barrel shroud and it does nothing to the accuracy or reliability. I got it and a longer one for my SU from a place called airsoft-club.com.

Dude im not telling you what to do lol its your property ,, im just stating my opinion in a respectful way , if you dont want to hear other peoples opinion dont post in a public forum ..
 
BCVIKING and I responded in a respectful manner so whats the issue?? Of course if any mods i have ever done to any of my guns mes with reliability it gets tossed. A firearm that is not reliable is useless to me. Not sure where I took issue with you anywhere in my post. I singled you out and responded so I am unclear where I told you not to comment??
 
I looked on ebay.ca for the same item there is guy from the US who sales them, jyst have to resize the thread to 14x1 RH. Airsoft can will work, just make it fit so it does not get any gas becouse it might go to bits.
Ebaybanned, ehobby or airsoftvanguard all have them they are cheap and thread is the same as cz858 14x1RH
 
im in the process of doing the same thing, except im also getting a FSN01K gas block with the integrated front sight so it looks like an FSN01K with a supressor on it :)
