CZ 858 Folding vs Non Folding

mine came with the fixedstock i changed it to the folder i am probably goin to cut off the existing one and make a new one that is more ergonomic

My 858-4 came with the folder and I loved the look and functionality of it. However I participated in two club level matches with the un-customized rifle and found that I would unintentionally hit the stock release button with the back of my thumb in the middle of a course. I switched to a real wood stock during my accessories craze and never looked back.

I have both and this is what i prefer best ...

Im in the same boat as driver 71.

I couldnt wait for Marstar to get their solid stock in so ordered the 4v tactical from wolverine, which came with folding stock. Im a big guy and it suits me well.

you can buy the folding stock for 50 bucks thou so if you can go wood and order folding- get both :B

PS: get the restricted version for the chrome lined barrel, youll likley want to shoot military surplus ammo (CHEAP!) and its corrosive- chrome lining is great for corrosive ammo, at least much more so then the non lined barrel of the "non restricted" CZ 858.

I bought my 858 with the wood stock, which functioned fine and looked good with all the original furniture. Then I switched to fab defence parts and the adjustable ar style stock which was nice but did look a bit out of place. Now I have the factory folder and it is rock solid on my gun and I am quite content with the look and feel now. Until the next option comes by.

So another +1 for the folder.

Factory Folder fun! :) I also don't like the look of the 'AR' stocks on her... It's nice to have a blend of designs in your collection. That is assuming you already have an AR.... you DO already have one don't you! :)

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with both the folding and non folding CZ 858 stocks? If you were able to buy only one and could get either stock for the same price which would you buy and why?

i put a folding on mine aswell
fits about the same but looks badass!!

I like the factory one piece, as it's allot the the Sully stocks I used to use on my AR.

I like the M4 style stocks much better tho. The in line adapters offered make it more like an M4.

I own one of each , factory bakelite and factory folder. A peice of split plastic tubing wrapped in GI 100mph tape made the folder very comfortable for me.
