Mine did the same with a aftermarket forend. Had to add the metal bracket back on the aftermarket forend for it to stay on...

try putting some tape inside the front/bottom handguard retainer. It will help push the lower handguard back more and hold it in position guys.

Same with mine. Took some fitting and a little JB weld...but it seems rock solid now.

That's no good. The heat will melt the tape. Use aluminum foil - it will stay in there better.
