I took out my CZ yesterday to zero the irons on her.

Elevation was bang on.

But she was shooting left of POA at about 70 meters.

No big deal I brought a punch and the Soviet windage adjuster M1A3 (a big fackin' hammer lol ;)

I supported the barrel and post on a solid roll of hard duct tape and took a whack at the windage cylinder.

Nothing.

Smacked it a bit harder, nothing.

Oiled the :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: out of every crevice in the front sight assembly, let it soak in for 5 minutes and took 8-10 borderline scary hits.

Didn't move a millimeter!

I even tried an actual SKS sight tool that my shooting buddy had on him. Could not get it to budge at all.

Brought the rifle home and tried it on a solid surface well supported and braced.

Hit it with my 5 lb hand sledge, still couldn't budge it even the slightest.

Holy hell! Has anyone else had to fight this hard to drift the front sight on their rifle? I have stripped and knocked out many a pin from many a rifle and I know you have to be a little hard with some parts but this thing is fackin' ridiculous!

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

I just use the cheap AK front sight adjusted. And when I get home I put it in the vise and put it back to factory spec (near or less.cheap AK sight adjuster)

Is it not the exact same basically as the SKS sight adjustment tool?

Mine is shooting pretty far left of POA at 70 meters.

Maybe about 6-7" easily.

I just need to move that front post 2-3 mm to the left to bring it back on but I don't want to hit the thing so hard I do permanent (expensive damage).

Maybe I will make a simple jig out of scrap wood for a bench vice and put some serious torque on the facker.....

Use a C clamp. Knock off one of the wobbly feet. This will leave a solid piece to push on the end of the sight base. The threaded arm will generate enough pressure to push the sight. Makes giant (strong) sight pusher.

Hey Travis go spring for one of the AK tools in the EE they`re only 11 bucks shipped

From what I understand there is no difference between those and the SKS sight tool.

I tried the SKS one, the cylinder was small enough to pass through the hole.

It just wouldn't budge at all! lol

I'm going to keep at 'er with the clamp idea, I just need to find time.

Really try the liquid wrench it worked for my SKS's as well as Mosin. Did have to expand the hole on the SKS/AK front sight tool, just a little file work.
