CZ 858 heat shield replace

Hello

I recently purchased new wood dor my CZ858 and am havin issues with the clip that holds the heats shield in place on the top hand rail. How do I get this in. Do I need to?

Have you tried just twisting the clip and handguard together??

That is what I did for one of my CZ's

Yes, I tried that but there are two little 'tabs' on the clip, one on each side that do not allow this.

bend them in and when the wood is in place , bend them out , dont worry if they break off , most do .
