CZ 858 in 223

There's a CZ 858 in 223 for $750 at my local shop and was wondering how often they are come across. Really tempted as I dont have a rifle in 223 and the price seems decent. What do you fellas think?
 
There must of been some kind of distributor sell off as the price on them dropped dramatically. I got mine for $650 new and I still see them from sponsors at $699. Originally I think they were in the high $800 range. The finish is great and it has the side rail to mount a scope mount already in place. Having trouble finding steel mags. The plastic ones u get with it are pretty shiny and smooth
 
That is a decent price. They are good shooters and their accuracy when scoped can typically be under 2 MOA with the right ammo, perhaps even better.
 
So I put some dough down on the rifle. It's a NR CSA VZ 58 in "223" as was suspected. The finish is very nice indeed and I really like how it sights. Comes with two 20 round mags sadly pinned to 5. Heard that there's a mod readily available to convert the rifle to except pistol mags,which would be friggin awesome. Anyways pick up the rifle at the end of the month and will naturally post pics when I get this beaut home.

Picked up the rifle yesterday and will be going to the range in a bit to test her out. The mag adapter will be in tomorrow and can't wait to have her set up to shoot a whole 10 rounds without reloading.

Your CSA looks perfect with the new wood, where did you get it ? I bought my CSA on the EE , it came with the AR stock and plastic furniture but I am not happy with it.
I have ordered the CSA magewll conversion, scope rail and mount, I'm just waiting for it to arrive from Israel.

PS, anyone want to trade plastic furniture for wood ?

Thanks, yes these should come with the real wood in my opinion, but i bought it from Wolverine before they stopped selling them
there are sets that pop up from time to time on the exchange you just have to keep your eyes peeled, I have a CZ858 as well and i asked wolverine when i could expect them to restock and they said don't expect it so i have been sourcing bits and pieces out on the ee
