Tried out my new CZ 858 today and had some trouble with it jamming. I am not quite up on my CZ 858 lingo yet but I will try to describe it as best I can. The cartridge gets jammed with the shoulder just in the chamber, and the case head caught between the magazine follower and the last 1/16" of the (lugs?) that the breech lock fall into. The cartridge is wedged fairly tight at this point, the case gets dented near the shoulder. This happens about once every 5 - 10 shots. Other then that the rifle seems to be good. Any suggestion on whats causing this?

Have you tried different mags ? Mags are usually the first cause.

fail to feed.... what type of ammo are you using? i have that problem with non-czech ammo cos the casings are too soft.

Yep, anything other than Czech ammo jams on mine, last round in the mag, all of the mags are the same.

I have 4 mags, but i haven't tried them all yet. The ammo is igman 123 gr /8g SP. I notice that even getting the first round to chamber is very hard, and I have got it to jam just loading it. Even with the jamming problem this rifle is too much fun.

It may be a pain but a picture would go a long way here to help solving your problem. I have ran every kind of S%$T ammo through my gun and have not had any jams. Sounds like a mag problem but could be something else? Try your other mags and if they dont work give us a pic.

The same goes for me!!!!

I think it could be a combination of problems, the brass, very cold weather, and maybe the rough finish on the magazine follower. I don't have a camera or I would take a picture of it. I 'm thinking that it might help to lightly sand the magazine follower and try it again.
