So i finally modded my 858 a bit, i got a fab defense pistol grip and rail system. I also got a Daniel Defense hand-grip.

Down the road i wanna get a Magpul stock but what i want now is some sort of flashlight mod.

Now my rail has two lips on each side, is there some kind of flashlight set up someone could send me a link to?

Preferably i would like to run a light on the left side of the weapon system, because I'm a right handed shooter and i could modify my left grip from the Daniel defense hand-grip to toggle my flashlight on and off.

Any suggestions for a good light system for my 858

Here are some photos of my current setup. what can i do friends?

YES that's exactally what i wanted! thanks buddy!

Light system looks a little long. Do you have a hard time transitioning from forgrip to toggling light?

I was trying to navigagte the link you sent me, but i'm having troubling finding the mod from your picture.

What was the model called? Does it fit most flashlights?

I wanted a flashlight that runs on AA batteries as this is what my Eotech runs on and they are always easily available. This does however mean a longer flashlight compared to the CR123 baterries.

Access has not been an issue for me as the flashlight turns on and off by pressing the rear which is easily done with the thumb. You could also move the flashlght forward in the mount if you wanted to.

On the fenix tactical site look under tactical accessores for the picatinny mounts.

this one right? I'm assuming it's easy to lock on? and i need to get a corresponding flashlight from that site as well right?

hehe i'm sorry i'm new to all this and i need my hand held

Picatinny mounts are standard mounts. Just make sure the mount you are getting is compatible with the flashlight. The site list which mount works with which light. You don't have to buy your flashlight there but imho Fenix lights are good quality and value for money.

Here's a setup I like Lessonz, flashlight is a Coast LED Tactical focus Model 7438, these lights have a life time warranty, are run by 3 AAA batteries and have around 120 hrs of run time off the batteries. Coast LED lights are excellent quality at a very reasonable price, I bought mine for $35.00 on e-bay. We use a higher powered version of this for work and they give lots of light for a long time. Tactical holder is a MAKO-1" Tactical Flashlight Mount - Quick Release. I did have to take my dremel and take out a bit of the inside plastic which was easily done. Flashlight fit tighter than I wanted. The button on the bottom of the light makes it easy to access, touching the on switch lightly is good for quick bursts of light without leaving the light on.

that looks great
what kind of rail system are u running.
And if you don't mind me asking where do you work?

thanks for the info and pic!

so question, do most mods like a side flashright rig slide in and lock on with most rail systems, i guess i'm asking if most mods and rail systems are universal?

thanks to everyone

Nice setup Striker! You installed then a rail on the older gen NEA lower, right?

yes it's a NEA rail system, bought from Neit Arms. I liked the built in bottom picatinny rail and vents on the side. I installed a couple 3 inch MagPul side picatinny rails for flashlights, etc.

I would say most do slide on and lock in place so long as you are using a picatinny or weaver rail. I think most people prefer to add and remove the equipment they plan on using depending on the intended trip or use. As an example I have a Magpul AFG (angle forward grip) on the lower rail, but can switch it out fast for my bipod for some bench shooting at the range. Your rifle will be as universal or versatile as you build it to be.

NEA's newer generation rails are setup to add or remove picatinny rails as you load out your rifle. What I like best is how tight they lock in place!!

So with my FAB rail i'd be able to put on just about anything? Anyone got any links for a side light system i can order for my cz 858 with fab rail?

Shyane @ Relaible will hook you up with type of combo. I also found that the drop flash light holder's interfered with my handel on the bottom handguard. Also they weren't the best position when attempting to turn on & off.

You can attach anything setup to handle picatinny rail attachments. Remember there are two standards, picatinny and weaver rails. Picatinny is what is most common and more heavily built. A weaver attachment will not fit on a picatinny rail unless you have an adapter. Living in Canada I find it hard to find a store or even a gun shop locally which has anything tactical. Our sponsors are a great source but when I cannot find what I'm interested in I go to E-Bay. I find a seller with a good rep, and find the best deal possible. Your FAB DEFENSE line is the very same as MAKO. Wolverine Supplies carry Fab defense and are excellent to deal with. The flashlight I mentioned can be found on E-Bay .................. caution once you start finding deals it will be hard to stop.

wolverines website can't give me a direct link to any side light mods. They just say they carry FAB stuff but can offer no product links :(
