Unless "tightening the screws common sense be damned" is exactly what Goodale wants.
It is. He as much as said so in his reply to my letter on another RCMP-related firearm matter.

This is ridiculous! Maybe Wolverine should hire some daycare workers to write letters since dealing with these Gov officials is like negotiating with children.
They do not support or object, they are just paid to do their job. Which is to enforce the government's will upon its subjects via use of violence.
No, the job of the police as a whole, and as individual officers, is to enforce the rule of law, which is a foundational principle of our entire civilization. If they are deviating from their duty to enforce the rule of law, that's a problem and needs to be fixed. If the law itself is bad or senseless, that's an issue created by politicians - in such a circumstance, don't blame the police.
Also, as I said before, if people in the Ivory Tower in Ottawa are playing fast and loose with the law and regs, don't blame Joe Constable walking the beat in the skids - he's just trying to keep you and me safe chasing drug dealers and gang bangers, and has basically zero input into the policies and agendas of the higher ups.
Actually you can, it is called "officer discretion".You can't have your law enforcement running around as individuals deciding which laws to enforce and which are unjust - that's not rule of law at all, that's arbitrary and unaccountable.
It should be more than just officer discretion it needs to be citizens discretion......we all just follow along obeying senseless laws and arbitrary bullying. Afraid to loss it all.
Your statement would prove "innocent" all guards and executors in the Nazi camps and is absolutely wrong !
As a enforcer of the law you should be prepared with a plan how to deal with a unjust/bad/senseless law or an order. You can choose not to enforce it and deal with the consequences or to enforce it and become an accomplice in the unjust act against the public.
If you can not make such a decision then you should find different occupation.
If all the law enforcers decide not to enforce a unjust law do you think the people in the Ivory Tower in Ottawa will bring their f*t asses on the street to enforce it?
I wonder, are there ways to bring these abitrary decisions to light in opinion columns or to media organizations? Get enough people reading about this injustice to make something happen. The court of public opinion can be the true judge of any case.

Forgive my ignorance, but is it not possible to get the shipment back, take the furnishings off, resubmit the receivers only, then once approved, put the wood back on?
I have several rifles with converted auto receivers, still haven't shot at or threatened anyone.
Got to keep the fear level ratcheted up.
This country isn't the Canada i grew up in, it's globalism on steroids.
According to Mr. Smith's reply, the receiver is the main problem. It is explained in the 3rd paragraph of the "Background" section, and has nothing to do with the name "Sparta" or "Spartan" or whatever. In this paragraph, Smith claims that these rifles were manufactured with converted Automatic receivers.
So, the question is...Did CZ continue to use re-manufactured select fire receivers when they manufactured this latest shipment of rifles for Wolverine?
According to the RCMP, they did. Who's at fault for that is anyone's guess...
