cz 858 mod suggestions?

Why do you say this???

Unless you're a lefty (a 10% possiblity) the rifle is designed to have the magazine removed with the left (support) hand. As for a tactical bolt release, I just use my left hand over the bolt handle to release the bolt.

That said, I like to keep my rifles (and pistols) KISS, meaning they operate as they're designed to. YMMV
Call me a mall ninja but by the time you give your girl the old reach around. I would have already have the new mag rocked and lock, plus the bolt closed and on your position with 2 simple upgrades.
1)Dlask ak style mag release using the slap chop meathod.
2)Using a bolt release of your choice.
Muzzle brakes on semi-auto's in 7.62x39mm I have been found to be useless. Kill the flash and pratice spitting rounds down range is the best way to controll muzzle rise on a rifle platform limited to 5 rounds in 1 magazine. Now if we didn't have these stupid mag laws well than it would be a different conclusion I would come to. But untill common sense and policits merge. I will stick to my flash reduction device.

Ive done every mod you can think of and i will never admit how much it has cost me trying every fckn thing that has ever come out for the damn things. So theres only a couple to do ...

1 , after market folding stock of your choice. " usability and weight, i would go with the folding wire stock from CZ ... $60 bucks

2, Nea upper and lower hand gaurds ... or something along that line... Fab defence is sh*t in my opinion

3, I do like the FAB pistol grip.

Dont do any magwell mod if you have the 7.62x39 ... waste of money , do the B&T if you have the 223 , it is exspensive... I dont like the Gen2 csa adapter, Its cheaply built

dont waste your money on a rail for optics there all half ass ive had them all ... run it for what it is , it will save you a tonne of cash and last forever

pilot - why do you think the magwell adapter for 762x39 is a waste of money? I have the B&T on mine and if feeds great using lar15s

I just put a muzzle break on my vz58.
I took before and after videos and muzzle flip is reduced and so is recoil, significantly.
I disagree with the advice above totally; in fact I think the muzzle break is the best mod for the dollar unless you have a crappy pistol grip.

I use czech original cone brake with the original bipod it looks simple but sharp. next project I need to get myself one of the 5/40 magazines and I will have rpk clone

To enefgee,

Thanks for the info, I already pre-ordered my drum with Canadian dealer. Sure they do look sharp. Is there anyone who makes rpk style stocks?

Absolute musts for me were the fab grip , after my hand slipped off the POS original and I brained myself with the damn thing , and the Crusader muzzle brake as my girly shoulders weren't enjoying the recoil . The brake made it hellishly loud , but that's what ear protection is for , right ?

I love my telescopic stock, my BC tactical handguards, trs-25 and the rubber slip on buttpad. Handguards were a beech to fit though and quite costly. As a lefty I suggest the extended mag release.

An extended mag release will significantly simplify mag changes while not complicating the rifle. The tactical bolt release will also speed reloads from empty and once again do not complicate the rifle. A muzzle brake will noticeably decrease muzzle rise and of course anger nearby shooters. These mods are simple, cheap and do not require extensive mods of the rifle. I have performed them on my VZ 58 and used it in the ORA's CQB matches.

im sure its great , its just that its $500 and i think the cz mags for the 7.62x39 are fine. I think it would be worth it for the 5.56. Even the Gen2 magwell is junk
