I don't know how experienced you are. But 95% of the time if you are looking to get better you need to invest in ammo. Equipment is rarely the answer.

faster target reacquisition is my goal.... thanks for the recomendations....

Shawn has a strong point, as your technique (especially posture and grip) will do more for your reacquisition than anything else. But it's nice to know that your equipment isn't slowing you down at all.

I'd recommend the Czech military brake, since it was clearly designed for the rifle, and by ALL accounts it works very well.

I have used a different brake, and with my grip and posture it pushed the muzzle down under recoil (19" 858, Chinese surplus ammo). My split times between shots were the same with that brake as without a brake. Maybe with a change in grip and posture and sufficient training to reinforce it, it might reduce my splits. Or it might not, and I would have wasted a lot of time and ammo retraining to a "snowflake" posture. So I go without a brake now. That 19" rig is long enough as it is, not to mention changing the balance of the rifle unfavourably.

You very well could be right. my ammo is usually some version of surplus. I'm sure my posture and grip could use work too. It was an idea. I am still going to get one (I can always take it off) As far as I am concerned the best improvement for myself will come from practice, practice and more practice.

I've shot with and without the break. My opinion is its a waste of good money for such a minimal difference on a low recoil rifle. More range time is whats needed to correct your issue, not more devices. Your money is better spent with higher quality ammunition.
