CZ 858 no gunsmith side mount? Where do you get them?

This one..... gets fastened by a screw through the h/g pin hole, and in the back of the receiver with a regular fixed/folding stock bolt. Made by a member here.. search for "Kasat" and send him a message..

Here are the pics. :

Great thanks, that is exactly what I was thinking of. I'll shoot him a message.

Where do you get the piece you actually screw onto the side? I mean how long will that little stock mounted rail stay true may as well just get a scout scope or a red dot. Im getting shots on target 350-400 yards with a fore mounted red dot. If it works great but I think Im gonna go for something a little more secure............... umm haha a lil help?

it comes as one piece with the siderail installed. I tried pretty much every way to mount an Optic on VZ, i like this side bracket the best, it actually attaches in two points.. between the stock and the receiver, and gets bolted in through the H/G pin hole, it is a very solid structure with zero play. Also since it is custom made, you can set a desirable eye relief. A good thing is, unlike the upper h/g optic setups, you never have to move it, unless changing a stock, or bottom H/G.. but even if you do, goes right back to zero... The only drawback is a bit of extra weight.

There was one for sale recently on the EE.

I'm still waiting for Interammo to get the long rails back in. The ones that don't hide your serial number and only require two holes to be drilled, no tapping.
