I'm concerned with ejection issues (reported on earlier versions of this rail) and the cumbersome access for cleaning and maintenance

Certainly not an issue with mine. I have had probably about a thousand rounds through without a single feeding issue.
Cleaning is stupid simple, pull out rear retaining pin, swing rail up out of way, proceed to clean as normal. I find return to zero is absolutely fine. Maybe others can chime in with their own results with these rails but I highly recommend them.

Is this one an improved version of the same mount?

If I'm not mistaken it looks like this model has taken care of the ejection port problem, by removing part of the top rail around the ejection port(?), plus a side rail option. Can't really tell as it doesn't show it mounted. This one does fit a CZ 858 doesn't it?

addendum: after doing some more web searching, I'm able to answer my own question: This rail is known on other sites as the "MAGWEDGE CZ 858 TACTICAL RAIL GEN 3", so yes an improved version, good to go.
I think maybe you Wolverine lads need to buff up your description of it just a bit. Just says "Mount for CZ", doesn't specify CZ 858 to clue people in a bit more. Just a suggestion. ;-)

very dissapointed in Wolverine. They said that last batch of 400 brought to Canada. Not even 4 months later another 300 is this the last batch to. Very dishonest way of selling.

Get a grip man!!!!! John is the man and he explained where these came from. You have no clue and should be shot with balls of your own shat for implying wolverine has done anything shady.

Really? Are you having difficulty comprehending the circumstances regarding how these became available?

So your lack of understanding manifested in your assessment that Wolverine is dishonest?

Adjust your meds, Jimmy, or someone may come for your guns...

I believe CZ when they tell us this is the last batch they will send to Canada but if things change we will take as many as they can produce
I don't get it, they make guns, they sell guns, you guys Buy guns..we buy guns{off you} What they have against us 'poor' ole' Canadians!? That they say they dont want to send any of their rifles to us? Isnt it their job to make & sell guns to whoever wants to buy them? Is it because they have to make the barrels longer{for us} & its too much a P.I.T.A for them or something?

We were told there was no more parts? To make more guns?
That's why some are having issues with this new run...
So is CZ finding a cache of surplus and using those parts?
Either way keep them coming..

John, or anyone in the know,
Just curious if you know what kind of "Canadian wood" was used for these stocks? Does that mean the actual wood is from here, or they just call it that because it has the maple leaf engraved in it? Is it typical Czech beech wood like the originals or some Canadian species of wood? Just wanting to know as much detail as I can about this beauty.

Cheers.
