Have you ever thought about bundling these together with a coupon for relationship counselling? I'm still trying to figure out how to tell the Family Sgt Major I bought one of these. This is a delicate subject as she has her own guns and knows how to shoot. If I suddenly disappear and my 858 comes up for sale then she is to be considered the prime suspect.

yes iam wondering the same.....are they sold out of the ones with the "Molon labe" logo? and its just straight "canadian wood" now?
 
I am disappointed that no explanation had been given when the original post was edited yesterday morning. I also checked FB and all the posts are gone off there too... without any explanation it screams bait and switch to me. I have been extremely happy with Wolverine before and have made a number of purchases from them. I'm hoping that people that ordered, and are expecting the previously pictured rifle get it or are refunded.
 
When I called about my previously placed order today I asked if I needed to re-order as I wasn't sure what had changed. I was told that the reason for the website displaying no photos/description was some sort of website/technical issue and not to worry about my order everything was fine. Don't take my word for it just noticed everyone was quite rustled so I thought I'd share what I found out by calling.
 
Wolverine needs to speak out about this. It appears the "Sparta" is no more. If that is the case (an 858 with wood furniture and no special engravings) I am fine with it, as I'd prefer a non-engraved, wood-stocked rifle. To make deletions to their initial post as well as the preorder on their website without explanation is unbecoming.

Dude.. chill. You think they're actually going to do that? It's still on their site but the Spartan part has been scrubbed.

I bet when they showed up, and it was not what they thought it was and refunds/re-orders are coming.

I'm still a believer in these unicorn Spartin CZs as those pics did come from somewhere and they did tell us later in the acquisition process, when things appears solid.

My thoughts on this is that they are no longer sure how many in this batch have the Sparta markings, so at this point they switched to this generic description.
