Cz 858 Owners

Done!

Dear Mr Kallus & Mr Kova,

I am writing to you regarding the recent reclassification of your company's CZ858 rifle in Canada.

I want you to know that I own two of these rifles & I really like them. But, I also want you to know that I can no longer use my CZ858 rifles because they have been reclassified as prohibited by the Canadian RCMP Firearms Lab.

I believe this reclassification occurred because your company decided in 2007 to start using Full Auto receivers to build semi automatic rifles, and this means Canadians who own these firearms are now in possession of a converted automatic firearm according to Canadian Law.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my CZ858 rifles until they were reclassified and used to be a supporter of CZ products, I can no longer support CZ as I feel I have been mistreated by your company. Please do the right thing and fix this situation for your loyal customers.

Kind Regards
Jason

How does this look?
Dear Mr Kallus
It is with great regret that I have to find myself writing you this letter. You see, I was one of thousands of your Canadian customers who had come to learn that the CZ 858 rifle in my possession was in fact originally constructed as a fully automatic firearm and later converted into a semi automatic firearm and exported to a country that has prohibited the possession of converted automatic firearms. This upset me greatly as in the few short years I have owned this rifle it had come to be the favorite of my collection. It's combination of military styling, excellent handling, affordable ammunition and generally superior performance when compared to its counterpart manufactured by Czech Small Arms.

In short Mr Kallus, it saddens me to see that a firearms manufacturer with a history such as yours and a reputation for excellence would betray the confidence of any of its customers. I hope that CZ has plans in the near future to make it up to its Canadian customers.

Done, keep fighting the good fight, John. Even though I dont own either a CZ 858 or a SwissArms, I have been supporting all initiatives against the reclassification.

Hello my name is ***rally guy***, #i am the owner of a CZ-858, i use to be a proud owner but no more. No more cause now I can't use my firearm anymore, #yes cause of our idiotic laws but mainly because you sold tens of thousands of CZ-858 with out due diligence to our laws. Now i am in possession of my use to be beloved CZ-858 that I can't sell, I can't use I can't even give it away! My only options are to have the gun destroyed by the rcmp, sell all the parts from it and then have it destroyed or keep it until i am force to have it destroyed! #As you see the future of my firearm isn't to bright.#

I now have many firearms but my cz was my second one and was my most cherish, i have now pass on multiple cz products as i don't want to be put in this situation again. I know that some cz 858 that were sold before 2007 are considered ok since there were NOT assemble on modified full auto receiver and i was wondering if there is an avenue that you could help us 10 000 disappointed Canadian fan?

Thank you
***rally guy***

Hello,
I am a concerned Canadian citizen and big supporter of gun rights in our country. With that being said, with the recent reclassification of your cz858 in our country it has led to some major concerns as to where this country is headed in regards to gun rights. I would expect that as a well respected gun manufacturer, CZ would join us in our fight with the Canadian government in ensuring that a product supplied by your company does not turn many of our law abiding gun owners into criminals in possession of a prohibited firearm as the result of a pen stroke. Such support for our community would surely in turn secure a large customer base for your company in the future. Thank-you for your time, and once again, please support all of those who have supported you. Thank-you,
