Very cool, thanks for the help guys I'll be sending PM's shortly
The part I'm talking about is the claw shaped bit sitting in a U groove at the botom of the action. There is a slot in the bolt that allows the bolt to slide over the claw. It's pretty small actually, maybe 1/4" wide by 1/2" long with a 1/4" tall claw like blade sticking up from the middle. It kinda looks like a front blade sight insert
From what I understand the bolt face extractor grabs the case rim and starts to pull the empty case out of the chamber, when the bolt passes over the claw at the bottom of the action the back face of the case bumps into it causing the empty case to fling out of the action. Something similar to what the extractor screw does on a Lee Enfield.
My claw was always a little loose but it never caused any problems until I had the magazine out and was showing someone how to operate the action. My guess is that there was a little gunk in the bolt slot (after firing 200 rounds that day) and as the bolt slid forwards the gunk pushed the claw out of the groove, down the mag welll, and into the grass at my feet.
Well at least I think that's what happened, I didn't notice anything wrong until my CZ startd to stovepipe on every 3rd round.
So, if your claw is a little loose, I'd highly reccomend a bit of locktight
