CZ 858 Pistol Grip Removal

Hey guys,

I tried looking for a thread on this topic but couldn't find anything.

Can someone help me out with the removal of this darn pistol grip?

I know it seems like the most primitive task, however I've stripped the rifle down completely...and tried removing the screw in the grip but no luck.

Is it glued in? reverse threaded? Or is there something else I'm missing?

Once the screw is out there is nothing else mechanically holding it in.

You have to get that screw out to get the grip off. Soak it down with WD40 (from inside where it screws into the anchor block) and leave it sit for a bit before trying again.

The screw is normally threaded (counter clockwise is loosen).

The screw is made from soft metal so try to get the widest flat head driver you can to avoid stripping it.
