Cz 858 reciever swap

I see two options here. Firstly, someone could look in to importing a large number of newly manufaactured receivers from the Czech republic, or a machine shop here could start manufacturing new receivers. The advantage to someone here manufacturing receivers is they could design it so that it takes XCR micro pistol 7.62x39 10 round pistol mags, as well as design it to allow for the addition of a flat top dust cover, AR grips/stocks, etc... Without needing adapters. Basically, you could completely modernize the rifle.

They won't, and this is only the first step. Next will come a full out ban on the entire vz58 family of rifles ("all variants") just like they did with the Kalashnikov. Each one of these reclassifications is just "them" (RCMP, anti-gun beauraucrats) getting a better grip on things. Hence the need to fight back hard this time so that this doesn't keep happening.

Does anyone have any leads on fresh made legal receivers? I (and many of you Nuts) have the means to press the barrel out of our prohib 858's (once it's chopped off at home, of course, since I can't take it in tact to press it out), and press it in a new receiver. Does CSA sell the receivers only? Anyone else? I think it's worth discussing if it's economical (and legal, which I'm almost positive it would be) to save the barrel.

first we try to reverse the reclass B.S.
here is why,it is a matter of principle, secondly it has been done on fraudulent claim since it requires to temper with the firearm to turn it into a full auto, which leads us back to the push for reversal. I talked to Wolverine this morning and was told for April 1st announcement( I hope it will not be fools joke). If all else fails, swapping receivers would be a technical solution but a bit tricky. For one, how do we know the CSA's won't get reclassified(although RCMP pissed off enough people in government not to do anything of this scale anytime soon), nevertheless, the potential is there. The second problem is to get any supplier to bring a load of receivers to Canada, it is by law a firearm but because incomplete, the status unknown, blah blah blah but most of all the barrel has to be pressed out and then pressed back into a new receivers. This has to be done very accurately and is not all that easy. Any potential catastrophic failure opens door for major liabilities. You could try to talk to North Sylva, see what they say.
