Just wondering if people like the factory steel folding stock on their CZ 858? How is it for shooting etc? I'm considering an AR style stock, but kind of like the looks (and price!) of the CZ factory steel one. This is my first Dangerous Assault Rifle, (the others are Sensible Hunting Rifles) so I'm not sure what to expect. Thanks...

Im not a fan.. I prefer the wooden one... Like Clobb said, even when squared up it just seemed smaller to me. I got a fat head, so it wasnt very comfortable, but I do know guys that love the folding ones.

Each to their own I guess

anyone has the folding stock for sale or in stock? i have been looking for one for a while and couldn't find it!!

I just tried the folding stock last week and I liked it!!

I found the length of pull to be quite short. Other than that it was very robust and reasonably comfortable.
Clobbersauras when I had my metal folder I found the same problem too. So I invested in one of these and it seem to fix the problem.

I wish I would have read this post before I bought one today! I took off the wood stock excited for my folder (the wood stock removal is a whole other story) I put the stock on and the gun became a wobble machine unfit to shoot!!!! I would be hitting the target next to me when it wobbled!

I don't know anyhing about how they should be and depended on the dealer for a good product! I can't see how I was even sold this piece of junk by the dealer and $88.00 to boot! I'm taking it back tomorrow and hope the gun shop is reputable for a full money return!!

The morale of the story is when it is open it cannot have any play or movement or it is junk!

Interesting, I was just about to order one myself. Is there no way to tightin it up?

The Galil folder from FAB has one of if not the best folding mech I have ever seen. I locks open and closed nice and solid. A great product although a little pricy.

Mine is tight, doesn't wobble and is perfect for me, especially when I have web gear or a vest on. It would benefit from some kind of rubber butt pad just for a better purchase on the shoulder.

Thanks............I think I was sold a take off return in error as it is worn out.....on the rifle the sway is several inches at the sights. It would be unsafe to shoot!!

I'm driving back to the shop tomorrow and hope they are good with returns as I have never shopped there before!

I love the look of the stock!

My folder is tight to depress the button, but it locks perfectly into place with no wobble whatsoever.

Mine wobbles. I got a pretty ratty, beat-up one from wolverine. The folder may look cool but the design of it is stupid. The pressure put on the stock is spread over a tiny(~1/8 X 1/8 in.) tab of metal. The one I received was already dented in from years of use.

I had to stick a felt pad between the screw and the stock to keep it from wobbling.

no wobbles, but very uncomfortable to shoot/have adequate cheek weld. Recoil vibration transmits down steel stock, into jaw and teeth. Look out! May cause teeth to eventually vibrate out of head!
