cz 858 stock question.

The factory uses an air tool to tighten the stock bolt, which puts a pile of pressure on the wooden stock. Sometimes the only way to get it off is to do what was mentioned above - cut the stock at the bolt to relieve the pressure.

I went to canadian tire and bought a big ass chisel then ground the tip flat untill it fit the screw head perfectly. This gave me a perfectly fitted screw driver that was tough enough to handle what I was about to put it through. I then applied a sizable ratchet and a bar to it. I think I put it on the floor and stood on the butt. Worked fantastic.

Something like this but it was a single chisel when I bought it and longer than what these appear to be.

Good luck.
