So because CZ put some Spartan symbols and a Latin saying on the wooden parts it's a "new" variant and requires a "new" FRT, because if they used the previous FRt numbers the rifle would be non restricted. Even thought that actual rifles do not differ from the previously imported rifles. Basically they are calling them converted automatics like they did several years ago with the other imports. It's pretty apparent the RCMP have a hard on to prohibit the CZ/VZ 58 family of rifles.

So the next question is I guess is the stock is prohibited too? Because if I put that stock on my rifle it would be no different then the ones currently for sale.
 
What about putting the beaver barf furniture back on these rifles. Taking off the Sparta label, and selling it as a regular CZ858. And then offer the wood with Sparta label as an accessory?

Correct. The RCMP is using the same logic used to the make the Swiss and CZ858 (other models) not prohibited to make the new import CZ858 prohibited. The conservatives Cuck'd up their firearms act changes badly by trying to play both sides.
 
This seems to refer to the front sight being remarked from a series that were full auto, "large window small window". Seems logical?? something that may have touched a prohib..... must be a prohib?
So a new front sight block that has only touched the milling machine it was made on should be the ticket.... Resubmit samples, couple more months and it's been a pleasure doing business with an honorable instatution that only has welfare of the individuals that support it as their priority...

Wonder what are the inplications going forward for any other gun that comes out with different furniture or a diff colour? Strange times ahead
 
So now that these are prohib does that mean that people who have bought the beaver bard model from the last sale keep quiet about their 858 and pretend it doesn't exist? If an individual owns one of these is it legal to sell or buy it privately? I'm assuming you can't take this out to hunt like any other NR rifle now... So sad...

Noticed a couple more things the RCMP claim.
Under "Notes", near the bottom, they claim
"The CZ 858 Tactical - 2 P Spartan Limited edition manufactured 2007 or later can be converted to a full automatic firearm in a relatively short period of time with relative ease."

Are they really that different from the 2005-06 version?
Wolverine, do you happen to have an '05 or '06 model to do a side by side comparison?
That being said, from their other statements in that frt, it seems they will only pardon the 2005 and 2006 manufactured models, as those were named specifically by the Harper government as being NR.

this must be affecting business across the board for the industry.. i haven't bought anything new in a few years now, since this bull#### ####show started.. I can't justify putting any more of my money into this sport and industry.. the fact that these #######s can just adjust the rules as they see fit is pathetic..
