Molon Labe - oh the irony!

Yeah, once again, not surprised here.
RCMP left 100% to run amok however they see fit by a brain dead Liberal majority government with zero oversight. Anyone that's legitimately surprised at this wasn't paying too much attention during the election results a couple months back. One more nail in the coffin for us all.
Orgs better get on this. Write your MP's. That's about all we can do once again.

And Molon Labe all over them? Oh mother of god the irony is almost painful on that one! lol

Wolverine, strip them to nuts and bolts and sell them as parts and furniture. Recoup some loss that way at least. There's definitely still a market for spare parts for the non prohibited (this week) CZ858's.

Got a text today from a buddy who knew I've been waiting for this rifle for months now, linking to this news story on Canadian Firearms Blog and I thought it was a joke lol. I thought he was trying to pull a fast one on me. I was just on here last night, less than 24hrs ago checking to see if there had been any updates. What a huge disappointment is all I can say.

It has become clear that the RCMP are totally out of control. I've been waiting patiently and never expected this outcome. I ordered a shotgun barrel from Wolverine and told them to wait to ship it until these rifles shipped out to save on shipping because I wasn't in a rush for it. Now I guess I'll only be getting the barrel. I assumed initially when I ordered, that I'd have both items well before Christmas. But just like the Grinch the RCMP had to steal Christmas lol. I'm not going to cancel my pre-order until it becomes necessary.

I guess the next step will be to write my MP, Ralph Goodale and whoever else I need to write to. As well as donate some more money towards the firearms orgs. If Wolverine wants to put together a class action suit I will donate 100$ towards that. I'm sure this is far from over. We need to hold the RCMP to account. They can't continue to randomly make up laws as they go. Just ridiculous...

I guess this comes down to two options - fight in court or strip down and build new receivers.

Odd that somehow "old stock" receivers might still be in use. Figured this had been sorted out years ago. It wouldn't be hard for CZ to document its parts manufacture to prove that they aren't FA receivers. Track the batch from billet to stamped and provide the documents with the shipment. Their inventory and production process should already follow their parts through manufacture, so it would be easy to show that the receivers were never fully automatic and remove the crutch that the RCMP are relying on to prohib them. Depending on how automated their factory is, the list could be as short as a page of batch #, date/time, and manufacturing step undertaken. That would be sufficient to prove that they aren't made from FA receivers. If it's all hand work, maybe a couple pages. Either way, not very difficult to do.

Can someone post the OIC reversal of the 858 / Swiss Arms from prohibited to NR status please? I want to be able to compare and contrast for my letter. Thanks!

If I buy the molon labe wood stock set and put it on a VZ58, does that turn the VZ58 into a CZ 858?

I think I would Aristotle and Plato to philosophize that one out.....

Also would this ruling mean no more new Swiss Arms either since they would be manufactured after the government reversal bill?

so does this mean that the last batch wolverine brought in are prohib now too? again? this is like Benny Hill running around in circles

Not sure, but were any of the previous "Canadian" edition CZ858's built on CA receivers? They aren't specifically listed as an exempt model from the C42 list. Based on the RCMP's perplexing logic they could be prohibited too.

Ya, but you're talking about dealing with an agency that has zero accountability, and unlimited funding to steer the ship however they want, and we all know what direction we're headed in.

Hi, quick question..

If they did decide to make all 858's prohib, would they issue special permissions to people who already own them or would you be expected to turn them in unless you had the appropriate license?

Such upsetting news.. :(

True. Might be the only ray of light. Or could go the other way.

I'm confused. Prohib because it has a receiver that used to be full auto, but isn't anymore- like the rest of the CZ858... then this:
