CZ 858 vs. FSN-01

cz do rock! ok, it's truly one of my favs. and a fun shooter. i have 3 of them and my 16yr old girl runs one of her own. i have two full sets of real wood and one beaver barf! man i love to say that. my swiss arms sits along side my 6920, 6940, a.r.sales m14-e2 and so on. but my cz 858's get run all the time. i call them my "AK eaters" poor yanks see what they get :)

Do the 858's come with cosmoline on them or no? I dont feel like removing that sh*t. And when shooting corrosive, and cleaning after, I hear boiling water followed by solvents, patches and grease/lube (where needed)?? I assuming the wood stock and forend come off as boiling water would be damaging to the wood?

i think there are better penetrating oils than wd 40 kroil oil maybe i used to use wd 40 to put grips on my mountain bike it dries out and becomes sticky.

Furniture fits just fine, the fixed stock has about a 1/2 inch longer length of pull than the folding stock. The fore grip lower and upper will have some wiggle. espeacially based on temperature. I have had my 858 in minus 25, shot about 30 rounds in 5 minutes and was able to remove the lower handgrip and place it back on the gun due to the metal expanding much faster than the wood, was kind of a neat trick.

as for cleaning: clean ASAP same day as you shot. Shooting surplus ammo is fine if you do this. I have been in moist climates (nakusp) shot about 5 rounds of surplus and my barrel was orange about 4 hours later, cleaning cannot be overlooked using this ammo.
