Just wondering if someone out there has done an accuracy comparison between the 19" CZ 858 and the Tavor and what the results were? Has anyone done this with a few rifles? Differences in ammo used, iron sighted vs red dots etc...
I can't speak for the cz858, I have a vz 58 in .223 it's has grin inspiring accuracy. Compared to the guy I watched shoot his tavor off the bench with unbelievably horrid accuracy. He was disappointed and kept blaming the surplus ammo, I was shooting norc.
I have no doubt a good shooter could go moa using a Tavor
No.
See Mike's testing.
While I am not afflicted by the aforementioned "sub moa semi" disease, I can appreciate an accurate *and* reliable semi. It is nice to know when you miss, if it was you not doing your part, or the rifle, or maybe niether. I love my NR ACR, my Tav, and my Vz-58 in x39 all for different reasons, but if I had to pick a clear winner I would have to deliberate between the ACR and the Tav for a VERY long time.
As previously stated, both of these rifles and many more, were not designed for sub-moa.
They were designed to hit a people sized target out to about 300 yards. So for me if I can pull the trigger, things go boom and sh#t flies out the end to hit the target I am happy.
Don't need to hit the guy in the eye 3 times just hit the "people" sized target.
