The AKM brake is a bad design for the VZ58, it was a half baked design on the AKM which is considerably heavier then the VZ58, also the length of the 858 barrel amplifies the downward force of the brake, a more balanced brake is both desired and much more effective and reducing muzzle rise and recoil.

I use the "vortec" style flash hider for "mean points" and still have sweet grouping. Didn't really notice any change in recoil, but cz/vz aren't bad at all, I never worried about it.

Yea the guns have very little recoil, I also dont want a compensator thats going to make the gun louder for me to shoot, I prefer not to wear hearing stuff in the bush.
