I'm sure it's been asked but is there any actual difference between the 858 and the 58 ? Or is it the same gun just different manufacturers, I'm contemplating the 58 in .223

As you stated it is essentially the same gun, produced in different factories. I have both, and love them

The CSA VZ has a tabbed bolt carrier, safety flips to the front instead of rear, nicer machining and finish. The rest of the parts are surplus VZ parts except for barrels other than 15.5". Some 15.5" bbls could be new manufacture if surplus barrels are used up but that's just my speculation. The CSAs are nicer.

Depends on which one you have. Some are NR/R, some are prohib.

CSA has an optional chrome barrel in the 18.5 version.
CZ doesn't come with the exploding bolt option.
