I know some of you made / modified mounts to fit your cz's but now Wolverine is offering this

With Scout Mount info here..... http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/default.asp?Pg=8&do=3&mcid=1&scid=12&pid=142

(Yes this is a shameless plug for Wolverine!) :D

Ummmm... looks like a scout mount for me. The only down side is having to completely remove the rear sight.

Regards,

How well does the scout mount work? Does it return to zero when you have to remove and reinstall it?

Not talking about the handguards but the real scout mount.

Anyone have a picture of a shorty (standard) with an Aimpoint?

Umm, you have the tactical handguard in your picture. The scout mount is this.....

Well aware. Scout mount is pictured in the link below the picture. Just wanted to show the new rail assy on the CZ.

Regards,

It works great. In fact you can take it off and use the stock sights because the scout has a built in replacement for the one you remove. When I took mine off and put it back on, Zero remained the same. Its a very solid mount. You can even get extra rails for different optic and switch them up.

Those hand guards are from Slavicina. Since both the Czech and Slovak republics have no program or plans to re-arm their forces for at least the next 5 – 7 years, both countries announced competitions to modernize their VZ58s hence the availability of all these modernized furnitures and accessories.

These particular hand guards were tested and not accepted by the Czech army because under auto fire and with a front grip installed the bottom rails were snapping off. The top rail (at least on the tested models) obstructed irons and was not used.

So far the only accepted upgrades by the Czechs are M Sindelar’s.

There is new Gen 2 hand guard with a quick detachable upper being proposed ;) .

Quality part.

I installed the scout mount on my 858 and can tell you it is a top quality piece and ROCK solid. I mounted a cheap bushnell trophy red-dot that I wish was up to the same standards as my mount... oh well. I have to remove the optics rail every time I clean the gas piston [4 allen screws] and as long as you follow correct re-installation sequence your optic will always return to zero.
One unexpected bonus was the accuracy of the integral sight on the mount, it is dead on at fifty yards and just as easy for me to use as the stock rear leaf!!!.
Overall it's one of those rare purchases one feels he got every dollars worth IMHO.

Hope the info helps...Cheers,
Mad Mikey.

There are two muzzle breaks available for the CZ. Is one any better than the other?

There is a third brake also. Check Palinak's reply and click on the link at the bottom of his post.

There are several brakes available in Canada and even more In CZ and SK.

The other MD (Lector) and I did do a comparison and I believe he did a write up on all the ones we have here .....I'll get him to find his post and repost it. I've also done a shooting video with the brakes for comparison but I still have to find time to condense and edit it ......remove all the Czech bable and name calling.....

cheers
