It's not the point to be or not happy with the price...It's just the fact that to pass from 700$ to 1000$+ in 3 years was an honnest question.....and was answered by Grumpy to my satisafaction!!
 
R&d, new receiver and intagrated top rail... yes I'd like it to be 200$ but ww got to remain resonable.
 
Sorry if this has been asked before, but that new rail top receiver doesn't allow for clips anymore?

Not trolling, just curious. If these are going for $1000.00, count me in.

But it honestly seems you must not grasp or understand what goes into designing and building a new rifle.

Don't forget, cz used alot of milsurp parts which probably helped keep cost down when they built the 858 for us.

Now if you wanna talk about $6000 pellet guns, if both of my Valmets were (i would still buy them ;-))
 
The recievers are newly made as bfiles stated, the addition of factory rails on the reciever can be the reason if nothing else. Takes time and money to design these things, even if they are based on old designs. Keep in mind if you want to have a railed dust cover they cost $300, there's your cost, plus you get a much nicer looking finish on the rifle than the original cz mil surp finish.
 
Unless he slipped it in without me seeing it, no pre-orders are being taken at the moment.

And if they are... DAMMIT PUT ME DOWN FOR A HUNTER!!!! QUICK!! ARRRRRRGH!
 
The fact that you can use 858 30/5 mags is astounding. I'm glad that went into the design cause IMO mini mags is a waste
 
given the time that's passed since the last update, can someone let us know if the barrel will be chrome plated?
