CZ 958 "Teaser!"

Sorry no more photos for approx. 2 weeks. We have yet to finalize the details so still time for some changes. We are proposing to offer two models based on one rifle. Four if we include short chrome lined barrels which will make her restricted, how many of you want her?

Will keep the base price as low as we can by supplying with standard ex military furniture allowing for options that will increase the price.
Do you want the stock angle flattened to improve your cheek weld?

Any interest in heavier barrels, this should not increase cost, not sure if there is space for much increase?

All CZ 958 will come a new receiver equipped with 1913 rail with built in case deflector, the old top cover is not used, bolt carrier is slightly modified, not tabbed as the gremlin should almost disappear due to improved tolerances.


The Hunter will come with no sights, no front sight base, a trim small threaded on flash hider and 2x5 rd (short) mags. I envision this rifle will be equipped with optics and upgraded with "Canadian wood furniture"

The Tactical will come with the original front sight base with muzzle nut so all after market flash hiders can be fitted. A aperture rear sight will come as standard this clamps to the rail so it can be mounted close to your eye where aperture (ghost ring) ring sights belong. Base model will have military style folding stock. I envision this rifle will be equipped will all the Tack Cool accessories an owner can afford in increase the LCF! Standard would be 4x5/30 mags included.

Bayonets, mag pouches, slings etc not included as our aim is to keep the original purchase price of the base units to under $1,000.00 not sure yet if we will meet our target yet.

No ETA and no pre orders yet.

Hopefully we will be able to offer chrome lined barrels in the future but certainly not on the first batches.

No stripped receivers at this time as we will want every receiver completed as a rifle. I am looking at another source for low cost standard receivers.

Sounds awesome. Too bad there will be no chrome barrels on the first run. That would 100% seal the deal for me.
 
I like the HB hunter Idea. option for a hunter style stock would make it optic friendly and very Valment-esq.

mmmmmm a Valment Hunter I could afford. Now that is a giant sack of win!
 
Here's a big concern john- if the 958 takes all original vz58 internals, would it not be prone to prohibition in the future? I'm just worried that if the vz family is under future beureaucrat fire, and they find some way of outright banning the vz and everything that makes it tick.... The 958 would by association get banned and there would be ALOT of pissed off people.
 
i would like the hunter model bare of iron sights and the HEAVY BARREL . it would make it more accurate and useful for hunting imo

I am told that only death and taxes are a certainy in this life. I see no problem with the CZ 958 if anyone was to attemp to machine out the trigger housing to put in the "happy parts" as my good buddy calls them, they would destroy the gun! She is as "safe"as we can make her. No full auto parts can be fitted into the receiver.

I am very excited about this rifle, and have been for awhile now. I've cleared out space for it in my safe, and eagerly await the news of a pre-order. I think that with everything going on with the rcmp, you may need to increase your order amount as there will be several people who purchase this out of sheer principle!
 
MMMMmmmm about time we get a red rifle with an aperture sight.
Heavier barrel is unnecessary weight for the tact model in my opinion
