CZ 958 UPDATE Jan 2016

Understandably we are not at all pleased with the situation and this came as a complete surprize to me when I was told this at the Shot Show.

We should still be receiving the 400 CZ 858 rifles and this will be the last of them for the foreseeable future.

I own two SKS's and one CZ858 and they are not in the same league at all

The cz is a way better rifle in every way but one and thats reliability

I've tried looking in the thread but there's way too much going on. Can someone advise whats coming in (858, 958, 858 cdn)? And Aprox. price it's coming in for? I understand that they're coming in 'soon' but I'm just not sure what exactly is coming in lol.

Think the very first post is pretty clear.

The 958 are not coming.

The 858 are coming. 400 of them.

When? Not stated, but soon.

How much? Not stated.
 
Thats absolutely brutal, I was really excited to pick up a 958 and make that my main gun. Might just have to snag an 858 off the EE once the classification looks more stable.
 
You're forgetting the Chinese Type 81 which should be available for this same market segment (i.e., people who want a pseudo-AK47). and reportedly will sell for around $1K. Competition is good for us in this case.

I agree. From a business perspective no 958 right now makes the 858 much easier to unload at a premium profit. I am gonna guess $1500 before shipping and tax. Once they are all snapped up and sold the 958 will be back on track and after an additional year of hype will hit market. $$$

If the conservatives had been reelected I'd have absolutely no hesitation in buying an 858. But they weren't, and we all know the current governments plan, so ya I'd say things aren't too stable at the moment.
