They look very cool, but I am wondering if folks like them better than the original rubber.

Yup, I have them in blue on my Shadow, I like them much better than the regular grips.

depends Jay, do can you reach the mag release and trigger in DA easily? If not,..then these may help. Recessed area is where you want the grip tape inserted. Just cut the grip paper (ie: skate board tape) to fit. Get a cool color as well...(red/blue or gold!!) Bling!

Defenitly a must for me. I cover my aluminium grips completely with grip tape. It gives me a very nice firm grip on the gun. But at the end, it comes down to personnal preferences.

I love my Shadow but only with the aluminum grips installed. With the factory grips it's just too fat for me. I have small'ish hands. The included grip tape for the inset area is also really nice.

Those thin grips are to thin for my hands. I've replaced the original rubber grips with wooden grips wrapped with grip tape. Now gun just jumps right into my palm and grip fill it in completely.
So, I believe it all depends on the hand.

For smaller hands the thin aluminium grips are the way to go. That is why I bought them... and frankly, the look kinda cool too.

I cannot justify spending that much on a set of grips which cost 1/3 of what I paid for my CZ-75... Guess I'm just a cheap dutchman :)

Played with them at the SHOT Show. They do feel very nice... (I use a super slim set of wood grips.)

Edited to fix the show show :)

You do realize that CZ-75 and 75b Shadow is not the same gun?

You do Realize that the grips are not specific to just a SP-01? Right? Silly rabbit...

The thin aluminum grips are offered for the SP-01, 75/85, Tac Sport, and the 97.
You did realize that the CZ market is more than just the SP-01?

Is there a point in your comment? I didn't say that grips won't work on other CZ models, but quoting you: "...I paid for my CZ-75...", so obviously you didn't want to pay for a competition gun, so naturally you are not going to pay extra for special grips.

And in yours?

Letsee. I paid $350 for a Ruger GP-100 and mounted a set of crimson trace grips on it just for the fun of it.
I paid $500 for my used CZ-75 and haven't spent a penny on it except for new mags in nearly 10K rounds.
I paid unmentionable $$$ for a Mateba Unica-6.

WTF does buying a competition pistol have to do with whether I need to spend money on grips? It is a personal choice.

My CZ shoots just fine in defensive pistol shoots with my slim wood grips (which were free), w/o plunking down $100 on another set of grips. Guess I must be cheap and not competitive since I don't put skateboard tape on the CZ.

Cheap yes. I'll agree wholeheartedly, until I decide I want something.
