CZ american vs varmint

You are right on both counts, the varmit has a longer stock & shorter bbl.
varmit bbl= 20-1/2" American bbl is 22'', I shortened the forend on my Varmit so that it is in proportion to bbl (My rifle,my taste) just thougght it looked kinda goofy with thelong forestock & shorter bbl.

thanks Bruce: have accumulated a couple more Americans 17 HMR & 17 Mach2,
might be able to talk me out of theHMR;)
