CZ autoloading shotgun. .quality ??

Which one? My advice would be to stick to one of the more well known models out there. There are quality reliable semi autos in every price category, both new and used. I don't tend to see cz brought up in any of those discussions. Just my 2 cents

Yeah, I'm not too sure about their sem-auto either. I had one of their Ringneck SxS's and a Canvasback over/under. They were good guns for the money but one doesn't hear much about their Turkish made semi-auto. I think if I was looking for a lower priced semi, I would go with the proven Mossberg 930 or the Baikal. Many are reporting success with the Turkish made Weatherby SA-108 but I know of 3 owners who would not touch one again because of serious problems with new guns.

You should check out shotgunworld, lots of great info on that site from some knowledgeable guys/gals. Just type the model into the search bar and I'm sure you'll have lots of reading to do, good bad or otherwise. I think there's even an I love my CZ section on their forum. Good luck!

Tom Knapp told me that if you are shooting 500 or more rounds a day the recoil between the CZ and the Benellis will be noticeable, but otherwise on the birds the average person will not be able to tell.
The biggest difference he said, is that you can buy 4 CZ's for the price of one Benelli!

I'd be surprised if CZ made a bad anything. Unless they are cutting corners in their contracting out to Turkish gun makers. But from what I've heard the higher priced Turkish guns are very good if not excellent.

The Czechs made the forerunner to the Bren, adopted their own domestic full auto assault guns instead of the AK-47 and make the CZ 75 pistol.

Czech quality was so high in WW2 that the German Wehrmacht adopted Czech mausers without hesitation.

I've had a CZ 912 since last April and I love it. No complaints at all.

Are you still using this shotgun? And if so how is the reliability and price? How much are these going for? Are there any left in
Canada? lol

Still got it, still loving it. Originally bought mine from wolverine supplies, they can probably still help you out. There was/is a used one on the ee.

Good to here you still love it! I finally found one today in my area, a new one. Super excited to try it. Was thinking about Mossberg 930 but when I found out CZ had a semi-auto too around same price I had to check it out online. Can't find much here in Canada but people in the USA seem to really like it. What a beautiful looking gun! Very Happy!

One thing about my CZ, if your planning on running target loads, mine stumbles on typical light loads in the 1145fps range. Anything 1200fps like Score, Challenger, Winchester heavy target, it eats without missing a beat. I've run many thousands of those heavier round without missing a beat. I think it's really a great shotgun for the price.

It might be a good thing that you don't hear about it. Because if a gun is a pos you will for sure hear about it.

As far that their Over/Unders and Pumps go, they're great shotguns. Excellent value. Well worth the money. CZ recently had their over/under redesigned and I really want to get the new CZ Redhead Premier. Had a CZ Redhead Deluxe and I regret it everyday that I bought a Beretta 686 and sold the CZ without trying the Beretta first.

I have had my 712 out and put around 200 shells through it. I have no complaints. It is certainly a no frills shotgun. Decent wood, easy breakdown and a durable finish on it. Its a keeper for the price.

Good to know thanks. I plan on using only 7.5,8,& 9 for trap & skeet usually the brands I find are federal, winchester & challenger, I think their all around 1200fps.
