CZ Banna Clip conversion on SKS?

Hey,

My buddy picked up a nice Russian SKS. He wants to add a nice aftermarket stock, and convert the mag to a AK or CZ style one. If possible CZ is preferred. What other upgrades shall he do? Spring loaded firing pin? Remove the knife and add a tripod? We are going to scope it with a POSP setup 4x24, unless you guys suggest otherwise.

I'll play nice, you can't convert it to take ak/cz magazine without a ton of money - if at all.
Why change the stock?
spring loaded firing pin is likely not needed
why get rid of the bayonet?!
scope if you want, get a proper mount, don't except great accuracy.

Ya get a tripod....because that's what they were designed for, everyone has a tripod on their SKS...and then get a bunch of 30 rd duckbill mags and change them as your buddy mows down invading hoardes of zombies.....maybe I'm an a@@hole....let me pause for reflection..............um no

I would get a the sks duck bill mag some dealers sell them on the board and that will give the look your friend wants. And a Bi-pod not tripod

Take the gun out, shoot the crap out of it with cheap surplus ammo, clean it, don't waste the cash on extras ......... scope is dependant on how accurate your specific SKS is.

A banana clip? That would essentially cut someone in half if you keep pulling the trigger.

Leave the SKS as is, buy an extra crate of ammo.

If you want to tacticool it up, just go buy a CZ 858.

What the guys are trying to convey is that pimping a SKS is like pimping a '93 Corolla.

What your friend needs is a Tapco stock with Tapco mag, like this http://www.fabsports.ca/sks-c-9_122.html
It's cheap and looks cool, a SKS doesn't need more. And Fabsports also has the bipod that replaces the bayonet.

and if you really want to mod it and you are good with metal and wood you can convert it into a ak look alike. thats what i want to do.

"...add a tripod?..." A bipod? Tripods are used with MG's. Why would he or anyone else want a bipod on a carbine? Not much point spending the money to convert an SKS to use a 30 round mag that has to be pinned to 5 rounds either.
